If you're like me, trying to read Terms & Conditions is like trying to read a foreign language. Sadly, some companies use that as a way to sneak things past the radar. The following is from a Tumblr post explaining the situation:
6. Payment Unless otherwise agreed between Artist and deviantART in a writing from deviantART, the license granted to deviantART under this Agreement is royalty-free.[...]
